"My love affair with drawing began early in my life. I started drawing horses about the same time as I learned to hold a pencil and soon began to develop my artistic skills. My friends and family asked me to draw their weird and wonderful variety of pets. Their delight with the results encouraged me to start a career as a professional artist.
For me it's a dream come true. Now, finally, I’ve managed to combine my two great passions – horses and art.
What inspires me most is the beauty I see in all the different animals I come across. It’s the same beauty as owners see in the individual characteristics of their pet. It reminds me of parents who are so proud of their children... they have portraits drawn or photos taken of them.
"I was delighted with the picture of my mare, Poppy. You have captured
Poppy's expression brilliantly. I'd now like to commission you to do a
picture of my old mare, Heidi"

My clients often comment that my artwork brings out more of their cherished pet’s ‘true colours’ than any photograph could ever show!
One of my secret joys is seeing the look of amazement on my clients’ faces when they see their portrait for the first time. The pleasure they reveal makes all the hours spent in the studio worthwhile.
I am passionately driven to give my clients a portrait they will treasure for a lifetime. Preserving their precious memories of a pet that has become a valued member of their family is priceless.
Although I believe the most important aspect of what I do is to capture the character and appearance of my subject, I always place great importance on artistic excellence.
Each portrait takes many painstaking hours to create, becoming a prized piece of artwork in its own right. However, I believe you’ll find the results speak for themselves and are worth my meticulous attention to detail.
"Just would like to say how pleased I am with both portraits. I have
been taking them to show relatives, friends and people I work with and
everyone thinks they are lovely. I am so pleased, they are far better
than I anticipated, thank you so much."
